“ In the United States, approximately 3.1 million dogs enter animal shelters each year. Of these, around 390,000 are euthanized, while about 2.2 million are adopted. The high rates of euthanasia are often attributed to overpopulation and limited shelter resources. ”

-Shelter Animals Count 2023 Report

Barks of Love was founded in 2008 and has become a key resource for the welfare of abandoned and abused animals in Orange County and the Inland Empire, CA.

Their mission is to reduce euthanasia rates in all animal shelters. While they primarily serve Orange County and the Inland Empire, they also extend their services to dogs in need from surrounding counties in Southern California when resources allow.

Unlike traditional shelters, they believe in the power of loving foster homes for their rescued dogs. In these homes, dogs receive personalized care from dedicated volunteers, experiencing life in a real home environment. It’s not just about providing shelter; it’s about preparing these pups for family life.

That’s why we’ve chosen to support them, and your support is appreciated too.

How We Help

Products Donation

Donating our floor mats, coolers, and car storage boxes has provided a better environment for dogs during transport and for storing their food and vaccines.

Financial Support

Each month, we provide financial support. All donations are used for caring for the dogs, so the organization can have more capacity to help more stray dogs find their forever homes.

Fostering and Adoption

We help our rescues find their temporary and forever homes.
