1.2 Who can install the WOLFBOX EV charger?
Professional electrician is required for the installation of the E50 hardwired charger. For the E40 plug-in chargers, you'll need a 14-50 socket.
1.3 What amp breakers are required for the charger's maximum current?
E40 models must have a 50A or higher fuse in the circuit in which they are installed. E50 models must have a 70A or higher fuse in the circuit in which they are installed.
1.4 When the charging station is activated, there's a sound; is this normal?
The sound you hear when activating our charging station is a standard operational noise associated with the relay's activation within the unit. This sound is a normal indication that the charging station has commenced its startup process. It's a common feature across all Home EV Chargers and signals that everything is functioning as it should. You can continue to use your charging station with confidence.
2.1 Why is the charger's Wi-Fi poor?
Weak signal in the wireless network coverage area will lead to poor Wi-Fi connection or failure to connect successfully. Please confirm the installation environment can connect to Wi-Fi well so that remote control the EV charger by phone.
2.2 How to successfully connect the App to use the EV charger when the Wi-Fi is poor?
1. You can turn on the hotspot of your third phone and please turn on the Maximum Compatibility at the same time. Then connect the EV Charger and phone you need to bind to that hotspot.
2.After the App is connected for the first time, subsequent to the poor Wi-Fi conditions. The App can control the EV Charger via Bluetooth, but cannot use certain functions such as charge logging and charging reservation.
3.If there is no network and the App does not support connection, you can swipe the charging card to control the EV charger.
3.1 Why doesn't the App's scheduled charging function work?
If you manually charge your car after connecting it, the schedule charging might be disabled. In some cases, certain cars may automatically enter sleep mode, preventing further charging.
3.2 Can I know how long it takes to complete charging through the App?
WOLFBOX EV Charger is unable to read vehicle information, so the App cannot read the time required for charging completion.
4.1 Why is the charging speed slow?
Charging speed is directly related to your cars battery health and the facility charging power. Maximum charging speed varies by vehicle. Please contact customer service <EV@wolfbox.com> for more details.
4.2 Why is the charging speed gradually slowing down?
Once the battery SOC (State of Charge) is above 70-80%, the charger will automatically adjust the charging speed to protect the vehicle battery.
4.3 What should I do if the EV charger fails to charge?
